At Treemendously Wild Cic we believe in supporting children and adults to connect to nature and develop greater physical and mental wellbeing.
Treemendously Wild is set up for children and adults in a private woodland, providing a safe environment for people of all abilities and backgrounds to learn new skills and develop greater physical and mental wellbeing.
Treemendously Wild started out with me (Helen Clarke) doing freelance forest school sessions but I believe accessing the outdoors to support your physical and mental wellbeing isn't a luxury. All children and adults of all ages, abilities, needs and backgrounds should be able to access sessions and workshops. That's where the CIC came in, Treemendously Wild became a Cic in June 2022.
What is a CIC? A community interest company (CIC) is a type of company, designed for social enterprises that want to use their profits and assets for the public good. CICs are set up with all the flexibility and certainty of the company form, but with special features to ensure they are working for the benefit of the community.
Cooking ingredients to make dough and cook stick bread on a campfire with a group of 15 children.
Enough compost to fill one raised bed.
A DD Tarp and rope for shelter building, an activity to use to encourage and support children's team building skills.
Resouces to build 2 raised beds at our woodland site in Shipton-under-Wychwood
A flow hive starter pack to have our very own Bees in the Treemendously Wild woodland. We can then make our own honey to use while campfire cooking and we can sell honey to bring money back into Treemendously Wild Cic to support even more people.
